When I set out to build the Bravo cc team, I looked for powerful partnerships.

My maximizer strength lit up with the possibility of building a team of like minded professionals who are committed to helping people lead with their strengths. Our team is defined by generosity and authenticity two things that can be hard to come by. We share the same values and want to make the world better. And we are really, really, really, super-duper, knock your socks off great at this work!

For over 20 years, I’ve had the good fortune of building a successful career and business helping my clients grow leaders at every level of their organization, using a strengths based approach to growth and transformation. I am not in the business of "fixing" anyone, instead my calling is to help people find the way forward by "getting gooder at what they are already good at" (Sorry grammarians).

So, how did I get here? Like a lot of kids with a mile-wide precocious streak, I struggled in school to keep my mouth shut and was a near constant challenge to my teachers. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time in my principal's office. This gave me an early opportunity to study leadership in action, watching how Mr. Bill Roach not only created a connection with me, but how he inspired and led our school.

In high school, I joined the speech and debate team and found that place in the world where I belonged. I learned to research, think critically, and "take the stage" with confidence and poise.

I attended Texas Tech University and finished my degree in communication studies. I loved college and being a student, so I moved to Denton, TX where I earned a master's degree in communication studies. I taught college for ten years and after an unexpected consulting contract fell in my lap, I took a chance and started Bravo Communication and Consulting, or Bravo cc for short.

Today I work with professionals all over the world from across a number of industries and backgrounds, teaching them to be game changers in the marketplace by leveraging their strengths with intention and purpose.

I'm Dr. Annie Munson, a certified CliftonStrengths Coach, and I help leaders tap into their strengths to reach their full potential. I’m passionate about guiding others to understand their natural talents and use them to achieve both personal goals and the goals of their organizations. Through active engagement, I help you gain clarity about who you are, recognize the unique value you bring to your team, and chart a path toward new levels of success.

For the past 20 years, I've worked in higher education as both a professor and an administrator. I've held various leadership positions and taught courses in Communication Studies, Radio/TV News, and Education Leadership.

Before transitioning into higher education, I built a diverse career in television news, public relations, and software training.

I work with clients across the spectrum, from early career professionals to senior leaders, helping them pursue goals related to team building, strategic planning, successful supervision, public speaking, professionalism, performance evaluations, and navigating difficult conversations. I hold a Ph.D. in Higher Education, a Master's in Communication Studies, and a Bachelor's in Radio/TV Communication.

When there's an adventure to be had, I'm usually the first in line. I’ve traveled to 19 countries, hiked 60 miles to reach Machu Picchu, camped atop a volcano in Guatemala, and white-water rafted down the Zambezi River in Africa. I love telling stories, and just as much, I love hearing the stories that have shaped others. I bring a deep sense of joy and gratitude to every experience and interaction.

It’s my passion, my goal, and my intention to add more value to your life than you ever dreamed possible. That’s why I love being part of the team at Bravo cc.

Let’s be honest, we all have those mornings when it’s hard to get out of bed. It’s just part of being human. But on the days that feel heavy or off, do you have the tools to turn things around?

I get it. For years, I was just surviving my life. From the outside, things looked great. I had a Communication and Accounting degree from the University of Minnesota, Mankato, and a successful career in the healthcare industry. I worked with culturally diverse teams to improve workflow, created innovative training programs, increased productivity, and re-engineered processes. I managed large budgets and led teams of up to 130 people.

But inside, no matter how fast I climbed the corporate ladder or how much recognition I received, it never felt like enough. I never felt like I was enough. I was constantly chasing that next achievement, hoping it would finally fill the gap.

Then (cue the happy music) I discovered transformational tools that completely changed my life and career. And I was hooked.

So hooked, in fact, that I’ve now been studying and teaching personal and professional development for over 20 years. Don’t get me wrong, I still work hard (and yes, you definitely want me on your team!), but now I know how to work from my strengths, not against them.

As a certified CliftonStrengths Coach, I specialize in helping leaders at every level grow with clarity and confidence. My approach is straightforward, practical, and always infused with a bit of humor. I love teaching tools that actually translate into results, and fast.
